 Ingredients

  • Talaba
  • 1 mangga kinayod
  • ½ tasang sibuyas tagalog tinadtad
  • Asin

Instructions

  1. Hugasan ang talaba. Magpakulo ng tubig at ibuhos sa talaba. Balatan ang talaba at ilagay sa mangkok. Ihaing may sawsawan.
Sawsawan:
  1. Magkayod ng hilaw na mangga. Samahan ng tinadtad na sibuyas tagalong at asin.

Grilled Bangus (Milk Fish) with Oyster Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 700 gm milkfish
  • 3 tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/3 tsp. sugar
  • 1 stalk lemon grass, smashed
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 thumb-sized ginger, sliced into thin strips

Directions

  1. Scale the milkfish completely. Make a short incision at the stomach area, remove the guts and discard. Wash thoroughly. Fill the cavity with lemon grass and half of onion and ginger.
  2. Make 2 gashes with the knife on each side of the fish. Fill each gash with the remaining onion and ginger.
  3. Combine oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Place the fish on top of large sheet of aluminum foil. Pour the oyster sauce mixture over the fish.
  4. Wrap and crimp the edge of the foil to seal the fish.
  5. Grill over medium heat for 15 minutes each side or until done. The fish will be flaky and white when fully cooked. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Ensaladang Abukado at Suha

Ingredients

  • 1/2 suha
  • 1/2 tasang ketsap
  • 1 abukado

Instructions

  1. Talupan ang suha, at liha-lihaing paghati-hatiin. Talupan din ang abukado, at hiwaing maliit. Paghaluin ang suka at abokado.
  2. Ilagay ang ketsap, ngunit huwag dudurugin ang abokado. Ihain ang ensaladang nakalagay sa dahon ng letsugas na may kasamang biniyak na kalamansi.
  3. Ang katas ng kalamansi ay nakapagbibigay ng karagdagang lasa.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1 pc medium onion, sliced

  • 200g ground pork

  • 1 pouch DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce

  • 3 bunches sitaw, cut into 2" long pieces



Procedure:
1. SAUTè garlic, onion and pork. Add 1/2 to 1 cup water, DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce, 1/2 tsp iodized fine salt (or 1/2 tbsp iodized rock salt) and 1/8 tsp pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes. 

2. ADD sitaw then simmer for another 5-10 minutes. 



Chicken Adobo (Adobong Manok)


Ingredients

  • 1 3-pound chicken, cut into serving pieces
  • 1 or 2 heads of garlic, crushed
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Bring to a boil the chicken together with the soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves and pepeprcorns and simmer for half an hour. Remove the chicken pieces from the pot and broil them in a pan for 10 minutes. Let the sauce in the pot boil until it is reduced by half. Add salt to taste. Cover the broiled chicken pieces with the sauce. Serve hot.

Pork Adobo



Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork butt or shoulder
  • 2.1/4 cups Water
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Distilled white vinegar
  • 4 cloves Crushed garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Sugar

Instructions

  1. Dice your pork butt or shoulder into small cubes, mix in other ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 60 minutes, or until pork is tender.
  2. Serve with rice and Adobo sauce.
